What tool do I need

A 1K ohm VR, a digital multimeter, a soldering gun, flux, and 3M double sided tape to paste VR on card.

I bought most of them from RaidoShack and homedepot.

By the way, the solder gun I use is 75W.

You must change your stock heatsink to a aftermarket heatsink with a 120mm fan. We use AC Accelero S1 + 120mm case fan, which is big and cheap compare with others. We heard Thermaltake Duorb is a great one also.
